If you don't see the Enterprise Activation button/link then you have a BIS account and you need to get a BES account instead

Note: Internet access is required for Blackberry Activation

Blackberry 7.0

  1. On your BlackBerry device go to Options
  2. Click Device
  3. Click Advanced Settings
  4. Click Enterprise Activation
  5. Enter your Email and Activation password
  6. Click Activatebbentact.png
  7. The device will start the activation process, this may take several minutes to finish.

Blackberry 6.0x


  1. Select the setup icon located under the All tray
  2. Select Email Accounts (End User Agreement may appear first)
  3. Select Enterprise Account
  4. You will now see the Account Activation screen
  5. Enter your Exchange e-mail address
  6. Enter your Activation Password (different than your e-mail password)
  7. Select OK. This will complete the activation.

Blackberry 5.0x


  1. Select Menu
  2. Select Options
  3. Select Advanced Options
  4. Select Enterprise Activation
  5. Enter your Exchange e-mail address
  6. Enter your Activation Password (not the same as e-mail password)
  7. Select Menu when all credentials are entered
  8. Select Activate
  9. Select Ok

Blackberry 4.2 or later


  1. On the home screen click Setup Wizard
  2. Click email setup
  3. Select the I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server option and click Next
  4. Select the Yes option and click Next
